Edmund Thomas Parris

1793 - 1873.
Portrait, genre and landscape painter (and architect). Exhibited at the RA and elsewhere. Painted a panarama of London for the Colosseum (1824-9). He painted large pictures of the coronation of Queen Victoria and the funeral of the Duke of Wellington of which prints were made. Between 1853 and 1856 he worked on the restoration of Thornhill's frescoes in the dome of St Paul's. In 1832 appointed Historical Painter to Queen Adelaide.
