i have lived in dumbarton all 50 years of my life and until i found your site i didnt know that dumbarton castle sat on wolfs crag thank you x
Very welcome - it looks quite a place.
This looks nothing like Dumbarton Rock and castle .I doubt if the painter had ever seen the place. This is a fancifull painting nothing like the real thing!
