I have been very interested in the East End for the last few months, and Petticoat Lane is so close to the Old Spitalfields market. This is a great image of yiddish-speaking workers, squashed into a fairly small space.

My Father took me every few weeks when I was young, and it was still very Jewish then. I remember the bagel shops and the garment factories.
