I keep seeing Lowry published in art books and on tv, but I have never seen his paintings with my own eyes. What makes him greatly loved, do you think?
An odd man who is represented as a man of the people but collected Rossetti. Here in the UK he is regarded as a man of the people who painted up North. Funnily enough his was the first painting (copy of course) that I ever bought.
