Thomas Rose Miles was a London painter of landscapes, coastal scenes and marines. He favored painting stormy scenes and was excellent at rendering turbulent waters. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Society of British Artists at Suffolk Street, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Hibernian Academy and the Arthur Tooth and Sons Gallery. Today his work is in the collection of the National Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
