Sporting and animal painter. Lived at Windsor where he was patronised by the Duke of Clarence, later William IV and other members of the Court. Exhibited seven works at the RA between 1809 and 1829 and elsewhere. His paintings covered a range of subjects but harked back in style to an earlier age. He was a reclise and often refused to sell his paintings. He deied at the age of 88 in almost complete obscurity.
