You will be amused to know that the Landseer is covered up at the moment because the Picture Gallery is used as an exam venue and it is considered to be unlucky to sit next to the polar bears.
How strange. Though it is a very good reminder of the vanity of humankind. Perhaps our political leaders should sit next to it!
