This is one of my favorite portraits of Queen Victoria, the happy early years before Albert's untimely death.
The diadem she is wearing, was passed down to generations, and I believe it is still worn on special ocassions...I read somewhere that there is a far-away look about him in this portrait, as if he was musing on what the future will be.

I like this too, the poses are unnatural but somehow noble.
