I know all of Abraham Solomon's famous works, but I have never seen this one. Shame... it looks like a hoot.

His younger brother was much more famous, but not necessarily as good as Abraham.

Rebecca painted as well. Such an interesting family and I so sympathise with Simeon. Burne-Jones was one of the very few people who would actually talk to him after his offence.

I only mentioned the two boys because most people don't know Rebecca Solomon's art. But I am glad you raised Rebecca's name as well.

Years ago I wrote one chapter in a book of biographies called "Forever Eve: An Anthology Celebrating NCJWV 75th Anniversary 2002". It is in the National Library of Australia. Believe it or not, my chapter was on Rebecca Solomon!
