Did Scott's works really appear across the entire British Empire? If so, did he travel himself or just send architectural drawings?
Did he design heaps of churches, schools, hospitals, railway stations, workhouses and vicarages? I would have thought that the Albert Memorial, Edinburgh Cathedral and several universities would have taken up his days, let alone restoring medieval cathedrals. Perhaps he was one of those geniuses who only needed 3 hours of sleep each night.
I don't know the answers to that Helen though I would like to read more. When I was working I often travelled through St Pancras and love the odd church there and the new British Library. I see he did write a book, facsimile on Amazon. I get about 3 hours a night but doesn't unfortunately make me a genius!
