I'm quite gripped by this and can't tell why.I'm wondering if you would be able to point me in the direction of a painting which shows a woman sewing by the light of a candle which is magnified through a glass / bowl of water. I know I've seen one but . . .Lucy
Sorry Lucy I'm still catching up. I think its the curious expression that grips. Can't think of the painting you mention I'm afraid.
