OK I know William Powell Frith because of his large narrative paintings.

But I don't know about Thomas Sidney Cooper. Did he have a big reputation during the Victorian era but it faded after his death? Or is he still very well known and regarded?

Very well known to collectors anyway. He lived a long time and painted a LOT of cattle. His journey is interesting as like Grimshaw he was at first very influenced by the PRB.
