That world fair must have been fantastic. Imagine seeing the tower go up... Even those who did not like the idea of the tower. This photo is part of a great historical record.
Overheard Conversation :-"But Mr Eiffel, you can't cancel the tower now. I've already erected the scaffoldingand I'm certainly not taking it downagain!":)
