Interesting that it was taken as the procession passed the Colonial Office. The London parade was followed in 1903 by the Delhi Durbar where the newly crowned King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra were declared Emperor and Empress of India. There were a few differences: 1. Britain is colder, so people looked to be dressed in warmer, darker clothes and 2. The population in India was much greater, so the crowds must have been huge.
