Frederick William Hulme - Harvest Scene

Landscape painter born in Swinton, Yorkshire. He was taught by his mother, a painter on porcelain. In 1844 he arrived in London where he worked as an illustrator and engraver. He exhibited paintings at the Royal Academy and the British Institute from 1852. He specialized in landscape paintings of Surrey and Wales. His painting style is clear and fresh with strong coloring.
