London landscape and animal painter (occasional sculpture). Exhibited over 100 works at the RA - and elsewhere, mainly landscapes with animals pf Wales, Scotland and N. France. In the 1850's-60's, heavily influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites. Very popular and his works made high prices.
