Rose Barton - Grandpa's Garden

An Irish artist (1856 - 1929), daughter of a solicitor who went to Paris to study art. Later she settled in London and exhibited regularly at the RA and elsewhere. She was well known for her foggy views of London though she painted a number of very good pictures of children. She also illustrated Picturesque Dublin, Old and New and the text and watercolours for Familiar London (1904).
