Landscape painter, engraver and lithographer of the Norwich School who worked in oils and watercolours. Pupil of James Stark. Lived in London from 1828-36, exhibiting at the RA in 1830/31 but then returned to Norwich to work as a dealer, restorer and drawing master. Later moved to Yarmouth and for the last ten years of his life - Cambridge. His work has often been attributed to Thomas Churchyard (1798 - 1865).
