I love all 3 painterly Solomon siblings, especially Abraham. If he had lived longer, I am sure his oeuvre would have been really impressive.

Thank you for this painting in particular, where people were apparently offended that the so-called chaperone was asleep. Abraham had to repaint the picture more decorously!!

Who would have had the power to make him repaint?

I agree, I really like their work but I suspect their origins made them outside the establishment at this time. I also feature them on my Pre Raphaelite blog.
