what would i give to live just for one day in those times, and meet just one great painter...
This picture, and the one below-they have nice texture-it must be high basis weigth of paper i think?
Or was it canvas?
I agree. To be well off and have lived at the end of the 19th century would have been good - provided you didn't fall ill of course! This is a watercolour so probably on a good grade of paper. I love good paper, the feel and texture.
Are You doing some painting by yourself?
I also like good paper, but mostly i'm painting with oil colours and on canvas-that's my favourite way.(if i have money to buy one;) )
I don't paint myself but mix with a lot of artists, including my partner, and go to exhibitions etc. I appreciate good art and am surrounded by books, music and art of all sorts. My flat is crowded out as I can never resist something I like. Still better than drugs I guess, and at 54 I need things of beauty to inspire me. I like your art as it so obviously comes from your heart chakra.
ThankYou:)
I agree Art is better than drugs!
I'm high every time i see good painting or hear good music...
And my mom-She's 57 and still is also interested in arts.
Even those, which are modern and aren't exactly soft ;)
It's good to be surrounded by art.
I've just got back from work and i'm pretty tired, but still i can't go to sleep untill i hear some good song and see some good piece of art.
Hugs from Katowice City!
Its 11:30pm here and I just woke up after a disturbing dream.
Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Beauty is both an abstract notion and a very real force in the world, like Love.
Sorry you're tired, I'm retired now but do a lot of voluntary work which I enjoy + creating these blogs of course. My parents are in their 80's and still very interested in books and the arts, so it is a state of mind, an approach to life really.
