Good photo.

The attached review is excellent and warns us of 21st century condescension to late 19th century problems *blush*.

Missions to the Slums were important here (Melbourne) too and gave most thinkers their start in feminism, the temperance movement and social activism.

Apart from my own interests in poverty and social injustice, I was working on some posts on Octavia Hill for my other blog - a real inspiration. Not seen you blush before Helen (lol).
