Landscape painter, born in Swinton, Yorkshire. Taught by his Mother and by 1841 exhibited in Birmingham. Moved to London in 1844 and worked as an illustrator and engraver. Exhibited at the RA, mainly featuring scenes from Wales and Surrey.
